Lately, I've been inspired by a few friends who are trying to live in the moment and really appreciate the small things that we sometimes miss in the rush of all the day-to-day stuff. Mix that with hearing a great speaker today who inspired me to get my camera out and just start taking pictures and do something with the pictures (more than just download to my computer). She also spoke about capturing not just the big moments in life but the amazing details. All that brings me to an idea for myself and anyone else who wants to join along. I'm going to pick a theme and try to pay attention, see it in my life, capture it in picture and post here. The theme might be a color, emotion, action,...really who knows (open to ideas!).
I'd love for others to join me on this adventure and see what we all come up with from our lives. I think it will be fun to see what a theme means to each of us and how we capture it. I have to admit that while my camera has more buttons than I care to count...I only know how to use the standard point and shoot function. So, while for some of you, this might be an awesome chance to experiment with your camera or show off your photography skills, it's definitely not required!!!
If you want to join, take the next week, use the theme Color in a dreary winter month. Then post your picture(s) and comments (optional) on your blog. When I get my post up, I'll include a Mclinky where you can add the link to your post. This will create a listing of how everyone used this theme!
I am so excited to see how you all interpret this theme and find it in your life!!! Feel free to forward to anyone else that might be interested. The more the merrier!
There are no right or wrong answers...just a fun way to appreciate and document the small things that make up our lives.
Week #1: Color in a dreary month
